Know Before You Go
Access differs by crossing
Some crossings are restricted to GCC citizens. Check which crossings your nationality can use before you choose a route.
Hatta is not the only option
Travelers starting near Al Ain or Kalba may find another crossing more direct. The right one depends on where you start and finish.
Musandam is separate
Musandam is cut off from the rest of Oman by UAE territory, so its crossings serve different trips.
Common Mistakes
- Heading to a GCC-only crossing as a resident or visitor
- Driving a UAE car without insurance that covers Oman
- Assuming one crossing suits every route
